Through the Board of Trustees of the Fundación Amigos de la Biblioteca Nacional and in keeping with its commitment to disseminating Spain’s artistic and cultural heritage, the CEEH has teamed up with the Fundación Ramón Areces and the Sociedad de los 100 Bibliófilos to promote a far-reaching bibliographic endeavour: the cataloguing, description and digitization of 193 Arabic volumes containing a total of 508 titles. This project will make available to researchers an invaluable collection belonging to the Real Biblioteca del Monasterio de El Escorial and comprising works on mathematics, pharmacy, astronomy, astrology and other scientific disciplines.
