Claudia Hopkins, Professor of Art History, University of Edinburgh, offers the lecture “Nostalgia for al-Andalus from Bécquer to Rusiñol” at the Meadows Museum on 18 October. The program concludes with the Custard Institute’s presentation to Hopkins of the inaugural Mark A. Roglán Publication Award, to recognize exemplary scholarship on Spanish art from 1820 to 1920, for the catalogue Romantic Spain. David Roberts and Genaro Pérez Villaamil (2021), jointly published by the CEEH, the RABASF and the ICB.
