Cánovas Moreno, Álvaro
Álvaro Cánovas Moreno holds a PhD in Art History from the Universidad Autónoma in Madrid for his thesis on the royal identity of the monarchy of Isabella II, a subject on which he has published several papers. He has been awarded research contracts and grants, including one from the Museo Lázaro Galdiano, and has undertaken research stays at prestigious international centres such as the École Pratique des Hautes Études (Paris), the School of Languages, Cultures and Societies (Leeds) and the Università degli Studi ‘La Sapienza’ (Rome). He currently combines his work as a university lecturer and researcher with cultural management at the Fundación Carlos de Amberes in Madrid.
