García Prieto, Elisa

Elisa García Prieto earned her PhD in History from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid with a dissertation on Isabel Clara Eugenia and a qualified archivist with civil servant status. She has collaborated on numerous exhibitions and published extensively on collecting and patronage at the court of Philip II, and on the Monastery of El Escorial in the 16th century. She has studied several women from Philip II’s family and is the author of Una corte en femenino. Servicio áulico y carrera cortesana en tiempos de Felipe I (2018).
