CEEH Centro de Estudios Europa Hispánica

The largest exhibition devoted to Berruguete outside Spain opens now in Dallas

The Meadows Museum presents Alonso Berruguete: First Sculptor of Renaissance Spain, which will be on view from 20 September 2020 to 10 January 2020. The exhibition, which had the National Gallery of Art, Washington, as its first venue, has benefited from the special collaboration of the Museo Nacional de Escultura in Valladolid, from whose holdings an outstanding group of pieces has been selected to showcase Berruguete’s creative talent and foster international appreciation of his work.

The accompanying catalogue, winner of the Eleanor Tufts Book Award 2020, has been underwritten by the Centro de Estudios Europa Hispánica and the Center for Spain in America, and co-published by these entities with the National Gallery of Art, Washington, and the Meadows Museum, SMU, Dallas.
