CEEH Centro de Estudios Europa Hispánica

The CEEH jointly publishes with Fundación Mapfre the catalogue of an exhibition dedicated to Anders Zorn

Anders Zorn. Traveling the World, Remembering the Land opens today in Madrid and will run until 17 May. The Fundación Mapfre and the Hamburger Kunsthalle, first venue of the exhibition, present an overview of the work of this Swedish painter, who mastered watercolour, oil painting and printmaking. The accompanying catalogue, jointly published by the CEEH, will allow readers to discover a prodigious portraitist, a leading figure behind the triumph of naturalist painting in Paris at the end of the nineteenth century, and a cosmopolitan traveler who visited different lands—including Spain—but always remained deeply rooted in his origins.
