Rocío Alonso Medel is a PhD student of Spanish Language and Literature at the Complutense University in Madrid, where she is preparing a thesis that analyses the hagiographic plays of Juan Pérez de Montalbán (1601‒1638), Lope de Vega’s favourite disciple. She has attended various conferences on Golden Age literature, making a significant contribution to the VI Congreso Internacional Jóvenes Investigadores Siglo de Oro (University of Navarra).
