Alonso Moral, Roberto

Roberto Alonso Moral is a lecturer in Art History at the Universidad Complutense and curator of the Alfonso E. Pérez Sánchez Bequest at Fundación Focus. His research is centred on the movement, collecting and impact of seventeenth-century Neapolitan sculpture in Spain – the subject of his thesis – and the presence of foreign sculptors at the Habsburg court. He has collaborated on the study of the collection of Spanish drawings in the Uffizi, which resulted in I Segni nel tempo (2016), edited by Benito Navarrete. In 2013 he was awarded the II Premio de Investigación Cultura y Nobleza for the collective work De todos los ingenios los mejores. El Condestable de Castilla Juan Fernández de Velasco, V Duque de Frías (c. 1550‒1613) (2014).
