Ignacio Arellano Ayuso, a professor at the University of Navarra, has been a visiting lecturer at various universities all over the world. He was president of the Asociación Internacional Siglo de Oro (1996‒1999), and established the Grupo de Investigación Siglo de Oro (GRISO), University of Navarra, which he has directed since 1990. As well as founding several specialist journals and collections, he is a member of the Chilean and Bolivian academies of language. He has published some 200 books and 400 scientific articles to date, including studies, critical editions and conference papers.
