Corredera Nilsson, Enrique

Enrique Corredera Nilsson earned his PhD at Konstanz University and the Complutense University in 2016. Since 2017 he has been postdoctoral researcher and assistant lecturer at the University of Bern (Switzerland). His research interests focus on the one hand in courtly diplomacy in mid-seventeenth century Europe, namely in the interactions of the Hispanic Monarchy and the monarchies of Denmark-Norway and Sweden. On the other hand, he is currently investigating Spanish – Danish local encounters in the Caribbean between the late seventeenth and the early eighteenth centuries. His publications include “Conceiving and perceiving the other: The Swedish elite’s image of the Hispanic Monarchy during the first half of the 17th century” (2015) and “‘El caso del balcón’. Fiestas de toros y diplomacia cortesana en las postrimerías del reinado de Felipe IV” (2020)
