Christopher Ferguson earned his PhD at the University of Oxford with a thesis on early medieval material culture and monasticism in Northumbria. He worked at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, and joined Auckland Castle Trust in July 2013, where he is Curatorial and Exhibitions Director.
