Dionisio Llamazares Fernández, professor emeritus at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid, has received an honorary doctorate from the University of Valladolid and Madrid’s Carlos III University. He is the author of Derecho canónico fundamental (1980), El sistema matrimonial español (1995), Educación para la ciudadanía democrática y objeción de conciencia (2008) y Libertad de conciencia (2 vols., 2011).
