Samuel Rodary studied History at the Université de Paris VIII and the Sorbonne. He works as an independent art historian and lives in Paris. He has worked on several exhibitions, including Manet and Modern Beauty at the Chicago Art Institute and the Getty Museum in Los Angeles (2019–20) and Berthe Morisot at the Musée d’Orsay (2019). He is currently preparing  an edition of Édouard Manet’s correspondence.
