Matsuda Kenji is a professor at Keio University. He studied Contemporary Art History as part of the Doctorate Programme at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid. He specialises in Spanish twentieth-century art and the history of Japanese-Spanish cultural relations, and has conducted research mainly on Picasso and Miró. He is the co-author of the Japanese publications Introduction to Spanish Art History (2018), More about Picasso (2006) and More about Miró (2022).
